Laura Moore's Gallery
Yesterday I was lucky enough to get a spot at the annual McKinney Artwalk. It's basically a day dedicated to art around the historic square. I set up my little booth around 9 AM with all my paintings and Holga prints on display. We had an awesome turnout! There was a steady crowd until we closed up at 6 PM. I met a lot of great people and artists at the show. I also sold 6 paintings and 8 photographs which was the icing on the cake to a great day. After Artwalk, Laura Moore had an opening by Alison Jardine. Wow! Her paintings were really great! So overall, we had a great day. I think I'm now hooked on shows and need to find some new display opportunities soon. Below are the paintings (with the exception of one) that didn't come home with me....kind of sad in a way, but I'm glad that someone else can enjoy them now.
Glad you had a great day! We got stuck next to a building owner that didn't want any artists touching or overly adjacent to his property and was very confrontational about it. Total bummer to have been met with someone so completely disinterested in being a part of this wonderful community event! Your work looks fantastic. A friend of mine had suggested your page awhile back on Facebook. Hope you have more good experiences like this one!

ReplyDeletecongrats u deserve it
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jeb! Isn't it fun to paint publicly? I especially love the kids that come by, never afraid to ask questions and always so positive. It's weird seeing all those short-sleeved shirts - we've still got snow in Alberta.
