This is my entry for the 2010 Buried Treasure post. It was originally posted in August of 2009. We were asked to repost one of our favorite posts from the last year. This project is the brain child of Seth Apter over at The Altered Page blog. Make sure and stop by his blog for tons of favorite posts by some great bloggers!

ReplyDeleteI'm crazy about this piece. It is sensational and the more I look at it, the more I see. I especially liked the train schedules in one of the bulls eyes, and of course, the old style water tower that you recreated so well. Thanks so much for sharing this post.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork's fantastic. I love your use of maps and paint. I follow another Texan (Debi Cates) and even from all the way over here in NZ some of these images seem familiar to me!

ReplyDeleteJust love your water tower update. Gorgeous! i love water towers and have made a painting in the past with a few. But yours takes the cake. Lots of super creative energy, color and feel. Thanks for sharing this painting with us!!!
ReplyDeleteStudded with things I like a lot - maps, schedules, ephemera, basic shapes like circles, primary colors, text, mysteries peeking slyly through layers ... nice job!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks awesome! And cleverly imagined.
